Founded in Los Angeles in 2000 by Marc Johnson, enjoi showed up with a stylized panda logo, crayon-scrawled graphics, and a refusal to take any of it too seriously — a direct reaction to the manufactured, marketing-driven teams Johnson had come from. That attitude became the brand. In 2006, Bag of Suck landed as one of the defining skate videos of its era, taking home Transworld's Skate Video of the Year and putting enjoi on the map for good. The years that followed brought Tweak the Beef, Oververt, the Panda Patrol web series, and High Wire — each one carrying the same DNA, powered by a rotating cast of riders that included Jerry Hsu, Louie Barletta, Cairo Foster, and Caswell Berry.
A rough stretch under corporate ownership eventually pushed the brand off course, and by 2022 enjoi had gone quiet. But in 2026, longtime rider and team manager Louie Barletta bought it back and brought it home. Independent again, enjoi is back to doing what it's always done best: real riders, real videos, boards built for skating — not spreadsheets.
